This exhibition explores shared elements of the two disciplines: shape, line, negative and positive spaces, symbols and images to convey value, etc. Often isolated from one another, art and math have much in common.
Remarkable works by Ohio artists capturing Ohio’s distinctive expression of Regionalism rooted in the state’s more diverse blend of agriculture, industry, and cultures. This exhibition is accompanies by a catalog.
Presented with the generous support of Ohio Humanities.
Jason Morgan is recognized throughout the Midwest and beyond as an accomplished still-life painter, portrait artist and muralist. His work is characterized as hyper-realism, drawing on influences of such Master painters as Rembrandt and Norman Rockwell. Morgan’s art captures unique moments in time – from thoughtful portraits to bright and playful objects set against the muted backdrops of our everyday lives.
